Baccarat/Mini-Baccarat Game Rules

Mini-Baccarat is played with eight 52-card decks dealt from a card shoe. The dealer or 'croupier' is seated at a table with up to 7 players. The croupier deals two individual hands: The Player and the Bank. Hands are ranked according to their cumulative sum. Each card equals their face value, except 10�s and face cards, which equal zero. If their sum is exceeds 10 then 10 is subtracted from the amount. Therefore 9 is the highest baccarat hand.

The Deal: Bets are placed before the deal begins. Once the bets are placed the croupier deals out two cards to the Bank and two cards to the Player, one card at a time. From there, the croupier determines whether or not additional cards are drawn for each hand. For example, if a hand totals 8 or 9 it is called a natural and no more cards are drawn. If one hand has a 6 and the other has 7 then no more cards drawn.

The Object: To correctly bet on which of the two hands will have a higher hand or whether they will have a tie.
