Standard Casino Game Rules

Below you'll find basic game rules for the various casino games you can learn at the Casino College

    Texas Hold'em Poker -
  • Texas Hold'em Poker is the most popular game today. In Texas Hold'em, each player receives two down cards as their initial hand, and there is a round of betting. Three board cards called "the flop" are then turned simultaneously by the dealer, and as fourth street and fifth street or the "turn" and the "river", are turned one at a time with a round of betting after each one. The board cards are community cards and each player uses any five of the seven available cards, both hole cards and three from the board, one in their hand and four on the board, or the five board cards to make the best possible hand.
    Omaha Poker -
  • Omaha is a variation on Texas Hold’em is often played high low split with eight or better required for low. Each player initially receives four hole cards. At show down, exactly two of a player's hole cards and three of the community cards must be used to make up a five card hand. Each player makes up a five-card high hand using any two hole cards along with any three community cards, and he also makes up five-card low hand using any two hands may be made up using the same or any other combination of two hole cards and three board cards.
    Seven Card Stud Poker -
  • The deal always starts in seat one. Each player receives a total of seven cards, beginning with two down and one up. After the first betting round, each player receives another up card, and there is another round of betting. This repeats until each player has four up cards. The seventh card is dealt face down, and there is a final round of betting, making five rounds betting in all. After all the action is complete there is a show down to determine the winner.
    Three Card Poker -
  • Three card poker is a poker game played with a 52 card deck. Each player is playing his or her three cards they were dealt against the dealers three cards using general poker hand rankings. The objective to Three Card Poker is to have out ranked the dealer's hand by either having a higher poker hand or by the dealer not qualifying. The dealer must have at least a queen high to qualify to play. If the dealer does not have a qualifying hand, each player wins the amount of their ante bet and receives their raise bets back as a push.
    Roulette -
  • The name Roulette means 'small wheel'. It is played with a spinning wheel marked with numbers and colors and a ball. There are a couple versions of Roulette: American Roulette (Roulette) and European Roulette. The main differences are the numbers on the wheel and the types of bets. The objective of roulette is to correctly bet where the ball will stop. The bets placed may be on the exact number, the color, a group of numbers or whether it will be even or odd. Each player may make multiple bets.
    Blackjack -
  • The object of Blackjack is for the player to have the total of his/her cards as close to, without exceeding, twenty-one (21) while also betting the total of the dealer’s hand. A hand totaling more than 21 is called a bust hand, thus, a loss. A push (tie) is either a win or a loss. A natural two card 21, or Blackjack, is an automatic winner, except in the case of a push.
    Pai Gow -
  • Pai Gow Poker (Double Hand Poker) is a Americanized version of the Chinese domino (tile) game Pai Gow. Double Hand is played with playing cards, one 52 card deck plus a joker card, and uses the standard poker hand rankings. The Object of the game is to create two poker hands from the seven cards that are dealt. One five card hand and a two card hand. Your five card hand must out rank your two card hand. Both hands are played against the dealer (or bank). If both of your hands beats the dealers, you win. If one wins and one loses, you push and if both lose then you lose your bet.
    Baccarat/Mini Baccarat -
  • Mini-Baccarat is played with eight 52-card decks dealt from a card shoe. The dealer or ‘croupier’ is seated at a table with up to 7 players. The croupier deals two individual hands: The Player and the Bank. Hands are ranked according to their cumulative sum. Each card equals their face value, except 10’s and face cards, which equal zero. If their sum is exceeds 10 then 10 is subtracted from the amount. Therefore 9 is the highest baccarat hand. The Deal: Bets are placed before the deal begins. Once the bets are placed the croupier deals out two cards to the Bank and two cards to the Player, one card at a time. From there, the croupier determines whether or not additional cards are drawn for each hand. For example, if a hand totals 8 or 9 it is called a natural and no more cards are drawn. If one hand has a 6 and the other has 7 then no more cards drawn.
